Once a year we proclaim unity in this country as we celebrate Independence Day. The rest of the year, we fight over ideas and beliefs as if our lives depended on it. As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person…but even in Sunday services sometimes put down others for their beliefs. Why?
