In ancient times, trees were oracular living creatures who communicated with people. They were powerful reminders of the importance of nature and our place in it. The symbolism of trees is found in many ancient cultures in which their own gods and goddesses were considered to be trees as well! My sermon, hopefully, will provide a stronger basis for love of trees and caring for our planet’s ecosystem.
