This Week at UUCIF

"Getting Ready to Say Goodbye" This Halloween weekend people will display skeletons and grave markers, ghosts and other ghoulish reminders that death awaits every living thing. Though we love Halloween for its celebrations and fun and the opportunity for masquerade that even grown-ups enjoy, perhaps we might also learn from some ancient cultures that this season of harvest brings an end to growth and that death and transition will carry us into the cold and dark of winter. For many cultures that is also an optimal time we might use to recognize that we too might want to consider how we might begin to ready ourselves to say "good-bye." Please join us this Sunday, Oct. 30, at 10:30am!
